Years ago, I realized that I wasn’t happy with my level of understanding when it came to my faith.

I would pray and read Qur’an but I didn’t know what I was saying.

Friends and coworkers would ask me questions about Islam but I had no idea how to answer.

My literacy in a religion that I loved and identified with so profoundly was sorely lacking.

Over time, God blessed me to begin learning Arabic and other Islamic sciences… and what I found was amazing:

1. Arabic is subtle and complex, yet one of the easiest languages to start learning

2. All of the questions I had about Islam were dealt with by Muslim theologians and legal scholars centuries ago

3. Islam’s incredible intellectual and philosophical tradition can enrich every aspect of my life…

And now, it can enrich yours, too!

Literate Me is founded on the idea that literacy, especially as it relates to religious guidance, is a basic human need that should be available to all. That’s why all our courses and resources are free forever.
